Our values present, caring and committed are not just on a poster but are lived every day. This in connection with our patients and patient parents, but also with each individual employee. We conduct value workshops, which are led by our CEO Katja Berlinger. We include our values in our daily decisions. We are a dynamic team and rely on the strengths of our employees.
Are you a mom or dad and would like to return to work? We are committed to the compatibility of family and career and are pleased to have employed many part-time employees. You don’t have children yet, but you have an important hobby? We are happy to take this into consideration when planning your work schedule. We do not have a maximum number of days off per month, but we are happy to have some flexibility. The duty rosters are prepared about 1.5 months in advance.
All of our employees have 5 weeks of vacation per year, those under 18 and over 50 have 6 weeks of vacation.
You like to work on Sundays or holidays? On these days we have a time supplement with our nursing & reception staff. We do not have night services, the longest service (rare) lasts until 10 PM, when we sometimes have an emergency service. Otherwise, our opening hours are until 8 PM.
The working time is stamped on an app. There you have a direct overview of your hourly balance and vacation balance and can enter your time off and vacation requests.
The locker room time can be stamped with a maximum of 12 minutes per day. If you have to go on duty from your on-call time, you can already stamp your travel time.
You would like to increase your workload or need more free time? We are flexible when it comes to adjusting your workload.
We are busiest when other institutions and practices are closed. This means that we need the most staff at off-peak times and on weekends and holidays.
Up to a 50% workload there are 2 weekend days per month, from 50% upwards there are 4 weekend days per month. However, these can be planned very flexibly.
On holidays you will work either on Easter or Whitsun as well as on Christmas or New Year’s Day (the services can also take place on individual days and be divided up).
Are you looking for an apprenticeship, a job directly after your apprenticeship, a part-time or permanent position, a student job, are you a returning employee, a mom or dad or already (almost) retired? We live diversity on all levels, whether this concerns faith, origin, sexual orientation, age or occupational groups. With us, everyone pulls together.
We are concerned about the medical care of the youngest in Switzerland and do our best every day to maintain it. We are therefore also politically involved in the expert council of the parliamentary group for pediatric and adolescent medicine. We are very well networked and regularly examine alternative care models as a supplement.
We are there when others are closed. We would like to thank our employees for this. With us, you don’t just experience a clumsy “thank you”, but real appreciation.
We are a family business with 150 employees, representing 60 full-time positions. We have flat hierarchies and fast implementation times. Would you like to make a difference and get involved? Ideas are always welcome.
We work together with mitschaffe.ch and thus live inclusion with people with disabilities in the first job market. Currently we have two employees. We are also pleased to be able to accompany occasional work integrations.
We employ one apprentice medical practice assistant per location per year. These are supervised by experienced vocational trainers. During the services, the trainees have learning time and extra services are scheduled with their trainers to review what they have learned or to answer questions.
Currently, we also employ resident doctors at each site who are supervised by our experienced trainers.
We regularly conduct internal continuing education courses that can be attended by our employees.
These include: Plastering, X-ray, emergencies, leadership training, value training, pediatric traumatology- upper & lower extremities, internal physician training e.g. obesity.
We also conduct an Advanced Pediatric Life Support course twice a year in Zurich.
In addition, we support our employees in attending external continuing education courses (e.g. X-ray course).
The continuing education courses of the Children’s Hospital Zurich are also available to our nursing team.
Our physicians are entitled to 5 external training days per year at a 100% workload. Our assistant physicians are entitled to 9 days.
We work closely with local partners (children’s hospitals, pediatricians). We also maintain a pediatrician chat in cooperation with Hirslanden.
In addition, we have a current project with Aprioris to strengthen the nurses. We find common solutions in the community of interest for large practices (IGMG).
Quality is very important to us; we have pediatric surgeons in the background who assist our physicians for consults. In addition, we strictly adhere to the hygiene and quality standards, which are reviewed by our quality manager in cooperation with a hygiene expert from the Children’s Hospital Zurich.
