The checkups are part of the primary care of the children and are performed at the age of 1, 2, 4, 6, 12 and 18 months, and at the age of 2, 4, 6, 10 and 14 years. They have been defined by the Swiss Society for Pediatrics. The detailed physical examination includes measurement of the body dimensions such as weight, length and head circumference as well as determining the child’s level of development. Depending on the child’s age, further topics will be added, such as a check of the hearing or the eyes.
The goal of check-ups is, inter alia, the early recognition of developmental delays or physical diseases, so that your child can be taken care of by an appropriate specialist if necessary.
We perform vaccinations according to the Swiss vaccination schedule. This was developed by the Federal Commission on Vaccination, the Federal Office of Public Health, Swissmedic and Infovac and are regularly updated.
We are happy to answer your questions regarding vaccination. Please ask for an appointment. For patients who have moved from abroad or go back there, we may also follow foreign vaccination schedules. We also offer special vaccinations that are not part of the vaccination schedule, together with the respective consultation. Please ask for an appointment.
